The ministry of education lately decided to move the Lag Ba’omer holiday from sunday to monday in order to avoid Chilul Shabbat.
This decision resulted in hundreds of Keren Kiruv buses missing.
Some schools decided to cancel school that day due to the transportation problem but many did not. Keren Kiruv went on a special mission to find a way to deploy an alternate transportaion solution for that day.
“Every school day is important and irreplaceable, and not lightly do we cancel one, yhat’s why we went above and beyond to make sure there is a transportation solution for this day too. It is our Shlichut” said Keren Kiruv spokesman.
Keren Kiruv has over 1,000 bus lines transporting 20,000 children from 215 cities and towns back and forth to allow children to get a Jewish education.
